The boat
The Ocean Fifty class, which was created in 2021 from the Multi50 class, is closely linked to the history of ocean racing. Over the last 15 years, this class has undergone many developments. It became professional in 2015 before opting for the use of foils in 2017. A documentary series entitled Ocean Fifty in five episodes is broadcast each year on Canal+.
The Ocean Fifty class is dynamic and thoughtful. It places great importance on its class rules, which ensure budgets accessible to small and medium-sized companies, as well as sustainable performance and value for its boats. Its calendar includes a circuit and a major offshore race each year, including the Route du Rhum and the Transat Jacques Vabre. A particularity of the Ocean Fifty class is that it is the only one to allow the embarkation of guests during the Grands Prix.
